Gérard Larrousse, Director Of Renault Formula One – Monaco GP 1984
Before becoming Director of Renault Formula One in 1984 Gérard Larrousse had a great driver’s resume winning the Tour de Corse in 1969 and finishing second in the Monte Carlo Rally 1969, 1970 and 1972. In 1971 he partnered with Vic Elford winning the 12 Hours of Sebring and the Nurburgring 1000km. In 1974 Larrousse also won the Targa Florio. He raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans eight times and won in 1973 and 1974 with Henri Pescarolo. In 1987 he began his own Formula One team, Team Larrousse.
